Nevada poker revenue was $8.53 million in February, according to figures released by the state on Tuesday. That’s a decline of just under 8 percent compared to February 2014’s $9.27 million in poker revenue. Revenue is the rake.

During this year’s February, Nevada had 70 poker rooms and 660 live poker tables.

That’s the fewest live poker tables in nearly a decade for the Silver State, according to research from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

The $8.53 million is the least since September 2014’s $8.22 million.

In January of this year, Nevada poker rooms collected $9.78 million.

So far this year, a couple of live poker rooms in Las Vegas have closed.

The Silver State kicked off its online poker industry in 2013, and earlier this month began a soft launch phase of online poker liquidity sharing with the state of Delaware, which also had its own intrastate online poker, in an effort to boost poker revenues.

Across the entire state of Nevada, overall gaming revenue was $916.1 million in February 2015, down from $926.1 million during the same month a year ago.
