PHamous Poker Series Kicks Off With First Tournament This SundaySeries Features 60 Events With $4.75 Million In Guarantees |

This Sunday, May 31, the PHamous Poker Series at Planet Hollywood Casino kicks off with the first of 60 events taking place this summer through July 5. With its massive schedule, tournament organizers are guaranteeing a minimum of $4.75 million to the players, making it one of the biggest tournament destinations in Las Vegas.
“We are very excited to offer $4.75 million in guaranteed prize pools across 60 events,” said Poker Room Manager Christopher Gawlik. “We have a variety of events for everyone from as low as $60 to as high as $1,150. Everyone is welcome regardless of their budget and bankroll.”
Highlights of the series include the opening event, the $565 buy-in Goliath Opening Event no-limit hold’em tournament, guaranteeing $500,000. There will be three starting flights for the event, all on May 31 at 11 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. More $565 buy-in Goliath events start June 7 and June 14. There will also be a $565 buy-in Goliath’s Revenge tournament, which features a heads-up no-limit hold’em format, on June 21.
In addition to no-limit hold’em other poker variations on the schedule include pot-limit Omaha, Omaha eight-or-better, Stud eight-or-better, Big O and a Dealer’s Choice event. The $1,150 buy-in $1 million guaranteed Goliath Main Event starts June 25 and continues with two additional starting flights on June 26 and 27.
Planet Hollywood will also be hosting additional daily tournaments with buy-ins of $80, $130 and $65 at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. For more information and to check out the full schedule, check out the PHamous Poker Series homepage.
