As the 2015 World Series of Poker kicked off in Las Vegas this week, high-stakes cash game pro Isaac Haxton won $344,000 over the past seven days on PokerStars and Full Tilt while playing outside of the U.S. It was a good way to start his summer. As of Friday, Haxton was in Las Vegas for the annual summer poker festival.
He’s still chasing after his first bracelet. Haxton has 24 cashes lifetime at the WSOP and $1,768,549 in scores there. If you don’t count players who made the main event final table, Haxton is among the most successful players at the WSOP still without a bracelet.
The week prior to this one, Haxton had $310,000 in profits, according to HighstakesDB. He’s now up $820,000 on the year between those two sites.
During one of Haxton’s online sessions over the past week he was playing high-stakes versus Phil Ivey while also grinding a freeroll tournament. He tweeted:
One table, I'm playing 100k deep 250/500 PLO vs ivey. Other, I have 1bb and am folding into the money in a freeroll. pic.twitter.com/lfNuumcbUH

Other big winners on the week include Ivey ($147,000), Elior “Crazy Elior” Sion ($130,000) and “Ravenswood13” ($109,000). Big losers on the week were Cort “thecortster” Kibler-Melby (-$197,000), Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro (-$162,000), Dan “w00ki3z” Cates (-$140,000) and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom (-$112,000). Expect action to slow considerably in the coming weeks as some of the biggest names in online poker head to Las Vegas for WSOP tournaments and the side action as well.
