Tilly in the 2015 main eventBracelet winner Jennifer Tilly was in action Wednesday on day 2ab of the 2015 World Series of Poker main event. Tilly was looking to record her first cash in the $10,000 no-limit hold’em championship.

She entered the day with a healthy chip stack, but ran card dead until eventually hitting the rail after the dinner break. “I felt like I was in zone, occasionally I fell out of the zone,” Tilly told Card Player. “Fold, fold, fold, fold. Pushing cards forward sure gets old,” she Tweeted during her long string of unplayable holdings.

Despite her untimely exit, Tilly still has high hopes for the 2015 main event. She hopes a woman can make the final table. It’s been 20 years since Poker Hall of Famer Barbara Enright finished fifth. The field that year was 273. This year’s starting field was 6,420.

“It would be fantastic for poker if a woman made the final table,” Tilly said. “I think it’s going to happen pretty soon. I know Barbara Enright made the final table a long time ago when the numbers were smaller. More and more women are becoming world-class poker players. It’s only a matter of time.”

According to Tilly, the lower turnout for the WSOP’s Ladies Event the last couple of years is actually a result of some female players taking their games to the next level these days.

“I think the thing with the ladies tournament is that so many women are discovering that open events are not as intimidating as previously thought,” Tilly said. “I think as more women discover poker and discover the love for it, the ladies event numbers are going to continue to be down compared to the past because a lot of people are playing the other tournaments.”

Here’s a look at the top female finishers in the main event post-Moneymaker:
