It is nearly that time of year again when the best poker professionals and hopeful amateurs come together to play in the largest fielded land-based tournaments in the world.

Preregistration for the 2007 World Series of Poker has begun, scheduled for June 1 through July 17 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. Payment for any of the 55 events can be made in the following forms: cash, cashier's checks, and wire transfers. Rio casino chips will also be accepted, including a special edition WSOP branded $10,000 chip. The 38th annual WSOP main event buy-in will remain at $10,000. Other bracelet tournaments will range from $1,000 to $50,000.

New changes have been made to the new participant rules, including a less conservative player apparel policy. Players will now be allowed to wear apparel with multiple logos and patches.

Event information, player registration instructions, and player sponsorship rules can be found at the official WSOP website.
