Casinos in the state of Nevada won $908.2 million from gamblers during August, which represents roughly a 1.4-percent decline year-over-year, according to figures released this week by state gaming regulators.
It’s the third month in a row that gaming revenues have fallen statewide.
Revenue generated by casinos on the Strip declined 4.7 percent to $527.4 million.
A gaming analyst told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that economic conditions in China have been affecting high-stakes baccarat volume in Las Vegas.
Baccarat win was $127 million in August, down 25 percent year-over-year. Over the past 12 months, win from that game is down 23.71 percent.
Baccarat is the most important table game for the Nevada casino industry, with blackjack being no. 2 in terms of revenue. August poker revenue in Nevada was $8.5 million, which was a 5.53-percent decrease compared to August 2014.
So far in 2015, overall gaming revenue is up less than one percent.
