CPPT: November Niner Max Steinberg Headlines Bicyle Main Event on Day 1C

The Tournament Drew a Field of 493 Entries Over Three Starting Days

More than 490 entries made have been in the Card Player Poker Tour Bicycle Casino $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event.

With exactly 493 buy-ins the prize-pool stands at $478,210 going into to Day 2, but there is still time to reach the coveted half million-dollar prize pool. Players can buy-in directly on Day 2 for $4,300 and receive a 60 big blind starting stack.

Plenty of eyes were on 2015 November Niner Max Steinberg, who is gearing up for the World Series of Poker main event final table next month.

“I haven’t played a tournament since the main event, so I’m a little rusty,” Steinberg said. “I’ve been doing Daily Fantasy [sports] and baseball season just ended, so this is the month that I’m really just trying to ramp up my preparation. That means driving to L.A. for a $1K, but it’s been a fun one.”

A total of 124 players will advance to Day 2 from the three starting days, among them Allen Cunningham, Matt Salsberg, Nipun Java, Chris DeMaci, Dan Heimiller, Oddie Dardon and Steinberg.

Throughout the day the field lost Steve Sung, Cord Garcia, Freddy Deeb, Daniel Strelitz and former CPPT Atlantis Reno champion Erkut Yilmaz.

Day 2 will begin Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 12pm local time.
