Former NBA player Lamar Odom was found unresponsive in a Nevada brothel on Tuesday, according to various media reports. Odom reportedly had cocaine in his system and suffered several strokes.
The 35-year-old was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas and was still at the hospital as of Thursday afternoon local time.
According to a report from ESPN, he’s “fighting for his life.”
The Nye County Sheriff’s Department will hold a press conference at 7 p.m. ET to provide an update on Odom’s situation. The brothel owner, Dennis Hof, told ESPN that Odom had been taking herbal Viagra and had been drinking as well.
Odom last played in the NBA in 2013.
