Thomas Fabius Accused Of Not Settling Gambling Debts

The oldest son of France’s foreign minister is in trouble with the law in Las Vegas for allegedly writing bad checks to cover his gambling losses, according to a report from thelocal.fr.

Thomas Fabius, 33, wrote the checks totaling more than $3.5 million to cover gambling debts the night of May 15, 2012, according to the arrest warrant. Fabius works at a financial consulting firm.

Nine bad checks were written in total. He faces six charges, all of them felonies, according to records on Clark County’s website.

Fabius was playing at various casinos, one of which was the Palazzo.

According to the report, if Fabius returns to the U.S. he will be arrested.
