Casinos in Las Vegas are rewarding their most frequent grinders. Players who log in a certain amount of hours can participate in complimentary freeroll tournaments for cash prizes at select casinos.

Station Casinos, which include Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch, Palace Station, Boulder Station, Texas Station, Sunset Station, Fiesta Rancho, Fiesta Henderson, and Wild Wild West, are running a $500,000 freeroll for all players who log 75 hours or more at any location. The qualifying period began Jan. 31 and will end March 31. The tournament will take place on April 14-15 at Texas Station. Everyone who qualifies and plays the tournament will receive at least $100 and $70,000 will be awarded for first place.

The Palms' River King Freeroll is giving away $1 million. Players must log at least 300 hours by June 30 to qualify, but can get a head start in the tournament by playing more hours. The tournament is a shootout style, in which players must finish in the top two places in a one-table tournament to move on to the second round.

Those who play the minimum of 300 hours will receive $2,500 in starting chips. For every additional 50 hours up to 500, players receive $500 more in tournament chips. At 800 hours, players get two chances at the first round single-table tournament. First place will be $500,000.

The Tuscany Hotel and Casino has a $50,000 freeroll for those who play 120 hours between Jan. 21 and July 14.

Casinos also offer freerolls that don't need as many hours to qualify. South Point's freeroll has a one-month qualifying period. It began Feb. 1 and will run until March 30. Players need 50 hours to play in the $30,000 tournament that will take place on April 16.

The Hilton also runs a monthly freeroll. On the first Wednesday of every month, its poker room hosts a $20,000 freeroll for players who have at least 40 hours of live play. The hours logged for the tournament begin on the first day of the month and end on the last day of the month. The minimum of 40 hours will get players $800 in starting chips, $1,000 for 50 hours and $1,200 for 60 hours. Double hours can be earned between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. everyday.

Players vacationing for only a few days can also take advantage of Las Vegas's poker freerolls. The Luxor poker room requires only 15 hours of live play to participate in its $3,000 weekly freeroll every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Players can qualify up until the time of the tournament. First place receives $800 and all players will receive at least $50.
