FantasyDraft: Week 13 NFL DFS PicksHere's Some Daily Fantasy Sports Tips From An Expert |
|
As I’ve touched on before, it is my view that the wide receiver position is where the bread is buttered on FantasyDraft. The ability to plug four of them into your lineup is the ultimate way to maximize the ceiling of your team when you’re trying to take down a GPP like the $150,000 Run & Gun.
The nature of PPR scoring just lends itself toward wide receivers possessing more upside than running backs every week. Sure, some running back will score two or three touchdowns or get loose for seven or eight catches at times, but receivers are the ones who are paid to rack up catches and big plays.
With that said, I’ll be highlighting four receivers at different price points for you to consider for your FantasyDraft lineups this week.

Antonio Brown ($16,200) – He’s soooooo good. My favorite part about Antonio Brown is that apart from him and Odell Beckham Jr., every other top-flight wide receiver stands at least six feet tall. The fact that these guys can be as dominant as they are without possessing the height that is a borderline prerequisite is what makes them most impressive to me. This week, assuming Ben Roethlisberger plays, Brown will be my favorite receiver play. He hasn’t ever given anyone a reason to doubt him, so no sense starting now.
Alshon Jeffery ($13,000) – While Jeffery is priced as the 13th most expensive receiver on FantasyDraft this week, I can’t think of five guys I’d rather use over him if there weren’t prices on the players. That screams value to me. Jeffery has the ever-elusive high floor high upside combination. That means that he is very likely to be solid even on his bad days and can blow the lid off the box score if he gets hot. When the bad games are 4-60 and the good ones can be 12-150-2 types, sign me up.
Brandon Lafell ($9,500) – Last week, Lafell played 100 percent of the snaps for the Patriots. One hundred percent. Patriots. These are good things. There’s no reason he won’t play the same amount or very close to it this week. In addition, he’s going from possibly the worst matchup in the league against the Broncos to possibly the best matchup in the league against the Eagles this week. If we’re being honest, Lafell has played poorly this year since returning from injury mid-season. But this kind of opportunity and volume don’t pop up very often for this price on a top-notch offense, so take advantage while it’s here.
Devante Parker ($6,400) – When you get into this price range on FantasyDraft, almost everyone is a bit of a dart throw. However, Parker has a lot going for him for only $6,400. A highly-touted prospect with prototypical size and skills, Parker took awhile to ramp up during his rookie campaign. Last week looks to have gotten the ball rolling though as he played over 80 percent of the snaps and posted a 4-80-1 line on 10 targets. With Rishard Matthews appearing likely to miss another week, Parker has another great opportunity at home against the woeful Ravens pass defense.
