FantasyDraft: Week 14 NFL DFS Picks

Here's Some Daily Fantasy Sports Tips From An Expert

Nailing receivers on FantasyDraft is paramount to giving yourself a chance to take down the $150,000 guaranteed Run & Gun tournament.

Last week, I nailed two in this space, with Antonio Brown going bananas and Devante Parker providing a nice game for near the minimum. The other two, however, were not so hot, as Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Lafell both put up pedestrian stat lines.

We’re back at it this week, and with a little less value than normal at wide receiver, you may have to save money at the other spots to execute this strategy in week 14.

Antonio Brown ($16,700) – Surprise, surprise. They say don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Well, Antonio Brown is the DFS equivalent of the gift horse. So don’t look at his mouth. Or something. I guess what I’m trying to say is there’s no sense trying to find a reason to not use Antonio Brown in full PPR formats. There are a lot of weeks where he’s easy to nit pick. Last week it was Colts’ stud corner Vontae Davis. This week it’s the capable Cincinnati pass defense. Each week Brown goes out and proves that he’s matchup proof and that we should stop overthinking.

Alshon Jeffery ($12,900) – Yes, I’m advising another player I advised last week. While Antonio Brown is just the best, Alshon is the best bargain going in DFS right now for an elite receiver. I’m willing to chalk up last week’s struggles to a blip on the radar and roll out Alshon again. Talent, opportunity and matchup are pretty much the three keys to DFS. Alshon has the first two going for him in spades. And the matchup is nothing to be scared of. Hop back on the Alshon train in week 14.

Martavis Bryant ($10,600) – Bryant’s prodigious talent was on display again last week as he roasted the Colts for 4-114-1, including a 68-yard touchdown where he may as well have been Usain Bolt. The craziest part is, Martavis had three other near misses that could have resulted in touchdowns. The Steelers pepper Martavis with some of the most valuable targets a player can get, deep shots and end zone looks. If he continues to get those types of looks, he’s not going to be a mid-priced wide receiver for long.

Doug Baldwin ($8,800) – You won’t often find a receiver with 26 or more fantasy points in three of his last four games that costs under $9,000 on FantasyDraft. Yet here is Baldwin, in another prime spot traveling to Baltimore to face their putrid pass defense. While Baldwin has a few things about him I don’t love, namely his size and inconsistent volume, you can’t argue with the recent production and the matchup. Baldwin is a feisty player who gets high percentage targets in one of the league’s hottest offenses. That’s hard to come by at this price.
