Draftpot: Week 15 NFL DFS Picks

Here's Some Daily Fantasy Sports Tips From An Expert

Properly valuing players is paramount in the Draftpot GM Mode. There are players that are bordering on must play territory and we as DFS players have to make sure to identify each of them to give our roster the best chance to succeed.

The best way to accomplish this is to really scour the player pool to make sure that you’re spotting each and every player that is way too cheap for his level of expected production. So let’s dig in and try to find the top four must plays on Draftpot this week.

Remember, we’re using Draftpot Points Per Game (DPPG) to value players, just as Draftpot does.

RB

Bryce Brown (5.58 DPPG) – Playing DFS can be very odd from time to time. Players like Bryce Brown can go from not even being on a roster one week to being a borderline must play the next. The Seahawks have lost Marshawn Lynch and Thomas Rawls to injury and then cut Dujuan Harris early this week after signing Bryce Brown. Fred Jackson is in no shape to perform feature back work at his age. That leaves Brown as the lone early down back on a team that is favored by more than two touchdowns at home. If Brown fails this week, we live with it. Not using him in DFS would be bad process.

Charcandrick West (6.56 DPPG) – This is contingent on the health of Spencer Ware. If Ware can’t go this weekend, West gets thrust back into his Jamaal Charlesesque feature back role that saw him put up 20 or more points on Draftpot in each of weeks 7-9 before suffering an injury of his own. The Chiefs figure to run the ball to drain out the clock on Sunday, as they’re favored by over a touchdown in Baltimore. Even if things go sour, West has flashed plenty of receiving ability throughout the season that his floor should remain intact.

WR

John Brown (10.46 DPPG) – While Brown costs only 10.46 Draftpot points per game to slot into your GM Mode lineups this weekend, he’s eclipsed 14.20 Draftpot points in each of his last six games played and draws as tasty a matchup as there is in the league this weekend. Carson Palmer spreads the ball around a good amount, but Brown’s immense talent seems to flash each week, with last week’s 65-yard catch and run touchdown on Thursday Night Football as the most recent piece of evidence. If this Sunday night’s game against the Eagles turns into the shootout the sportsbooks are expecting, Brown should play a big part.

DEF

Seattle Seahawks (11.13 DPPG) – The Seahawks aren’t particularly cheap and I don’t normally even write about defenses in this space. So why am I making an exception this week? Well, very rarely do we see a betting line that has one team favored by 15 points while the projected total of the game sits in the low 40s, 43 in this case. The betting line is essentially predicting that the Browns score only 14 points in this game. That is a ton of built in safety and upside for the Seahawks defense this week, making them a must play for me on Draftpot.
