Report: Steve Harvey Was Drinking, Gambling Shortly Before Miss Universe Slowroll

Las Vegas might have gotten the best of Steve Harvey.

The TV personality has been causing a stir on the Internet this week for his recent Miss Universe slowroll, and there may be an explanation for him announcing the wrong winner on live TV, before correcting it minutes later.

According to a report from TMZ, he was allegedly seen gambling and drinking at Caesars shortly before the Miss Universe crowning in Las Vegas. Harvey has apologized publicly for what happened at the end of the ceremony.

What Harvey was playing apparently wasn’t poker, which he actually got lessons in earlier this year from none other than Vanessa Selbst. The top female tournament earner of all-time appeared on Harvey’s show to tell the host about the life of a top poker professional.

Fortunately for Harvey, it looks like he will remain the host of Miss Universe, according to a report from FOX. Harvey reportedly signed a multi-year contract to host Miss Universe just days before the pageant aired Sunday.
