The first Ladies Professional Poker Tour event took place this weekend at the Bicycle Casino's Winnin' O' the Green series.

The $550 buy-in no-limit ladies-only tournament attracted 91 players, making the prize pool $45,000. The tournament began at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday. The final table was suppose to be played Monday night and air live through the Live At The Bike website, but one of the players could not stay the extra day so the women played through the night.

After a three-way chop according to chip count, Teresa Sanchez, the player who could not stay, was declared the first-place finisher for having the chip lead. The mother of four from Bakersfield, California, was excited about her $18,200 win, despite the drive she would have to make home afterwards.

The other final table participants were Val Breiman ($10,456), Linda Thiele ($5,460), Ruth Turobiner ($3,185), Ann Natarelli ($2,500), Chau Do ($2,050), Roni Taylor ($1,590), Amber Arafiles ($1,135), and Erlene Geller ($915).
