2016 Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza III Warm Up Series Kicks Off May 16

17-Event Series To Run From May 16 - 26 Leading Into Massive Summer Schedule Set to Feature $16 Million In Guarantees

The Sands Poker Room at the Venetian Las Vegas is kicking off the DeepStack Extravaganza III Warm-Up on May 16. The 17-event tournament series will run from May 16 – 26 and features over $420,000 in guaranteed prize pools. The action-packed series leads into the massive DeepStack Extravaganza III poker festival, a 90-event series boasting more than $16 million in guaranteed prize pools that begins on May 26 and continues through July 24.

The DSE III Warm-Up gets underway at noon local time on May 16 with the first of three starting days for a $100,000 guaranteed $250 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. There are events starting at noon and 7 PM each and every day from May 16 – 26. Over the course of the series there are several rebuy and bounty events, a $250 Omaha eight-or-better event and a $40,000 guaranteed $400 buy-in double stack no-limit hold’em event.

A second $100,000 guaranteed $250 buy-in no-limit hold’em event will kick off on May 23 with the first of three starting flights, each beginning at noon from May 23 – 25. The full schedule for the DSE III Warm-Up can be found here.

After the warm up series comes to a close the DeepStack Extravaganza III will kick into full gear. The huge slate of events has something for every player, but the highlight of the whole affair is the four-day, $5,000 buy-in Card Player Poker Tour no-limit hold’em main event that features a $2 million guarantee, and the Card Player reporting team will be on hand to bring you live updates on all of the action.

The Sands Poker Room at the VenetianThe last time the CPPT came through the Venetian Card Player’s own Allyn Shulman topped a stacked field of 262 entries in the $5,000 buy-in main event to win $293,966.

The CPPT main event has three starting flights on July 17, 18 and 19 at noon. Players will start with 25,000 in chips and play 75-minute levels on day 1. Levels will increase to 90 minutes on day 2 and beyond. Players can also re-enter once per starting day.

The DeepStack Extravaganza series is one of the most popular poker festivals in the world and this summer’s series has a little something for everyone with buy-ins as low as $200 and games such as Omaha eight-or-better, H.O.R.S.E., pot-limit Omaha and Big O. There are also variations like turbos, survivors and bounty tournaments.
