MGM Resorts International announced Friday that its Monte Carlo casino on the Las Vegas Strip will be undergoing a $450 million remodeling and rebranding.

The “transformation,” the company said, will include two new hotels, a Las Vegas version of New York City’s NoMad Hotel and a new design from the casino operator called Park MGM.

The casino giant’s partner for the project is New York-based Sydell Group.

“Park MGM and The NoMad Las Vegas become the final pieces of MGM Resorts’ complete neighborhood redesign of the central Las Vegas Strip neighborhood which began in 2009 with the introduction of CityCenter and saw the recent unveiling of The Park, a spectacular outdoor dining and entertainment district, and the stunning new T-Mobile Arena,” MGM said.

The property will have additional “innovative” food and beverage “experiences,” a move which comes as gambling win as a percentage of total casino industry revenue is at an all-time low. Las Vegas as a whole is focusing more on non-gaming amenities than ever before in its history.

Because of the changing industry landscape, MGM also decided to start charging for parking at its Las Vegas casinos, which also include Bellagio, Aria, Luxor and Excalibur.
