Late night TV personality Conan O’Brien took to his Twitter account with more than 21 million followers to make a joke about the “athletes” at the World Series of Poker.
He said Saturday: “Now that the Olympics are over, I can get back to comparing my body to the athletes on World Series of Poker.”
The Tweet received more than 10,000 favorites and got some response from the poker community. It wasn’t O’Brien’s first time commenting on the world of poker. In 2012, it appeared he was considering playing in the WSOP main event. It’s unclear how serious he was about it, because the millionaire was asking about a $10,000 stake.
O’Brien also had Scotty Nguyen on his show back in 2004.
Hey, is it too late to stake me in the World Series of Poker? It’s $10,000, and I’ll lose, but I’ll wear a windbreaker with your name on it.
