The Microgaming Poker Network: Traffic Stats And Latest UpdatesHave A Go On The Microgaming Poker Network |
|
With more than a decade of experience under its belt, Microgaming’s Poker Network (MPN) has been a solid presence on the poker scene. In fact, if it weren’t for early bankruptcy incidents with its skins and the exit of Expekt.com at the early days of the network, MPN might have stood shoulder with shoulder with other top networks today.
But even though it will hardly be as popular as Full Tilt or Pokerstars, the MPN is still a good network to play at, especially for weaker players who don’t want to become “shark food”. Game-wise, the network mostly focuses on No-Limits Hold’Em, but there are also other tables to be found as well as the Bad Beat Jackpot, if that’s what you’re after.
So, if you’re planning on hitting the MPN anytime soon, or are just curious about its current stats, keep reading for the latest updates and traffic stats for the network. And if you’re still wary of the skins in MPN’s network, it’s always a good idea to look into the licenses and accreditations of its operators. If you’re not sure where to do it, this site is a dedicated resource on Microgaming venues.
MPN Traffic on the Rise
Stats-wise, Microgaming’s poker network hardly comes close to the big players. It might have been a permanent fixture in the top 5 spots back before 2008, but the mishaps have definitely taken their toll.
As of now, MPN is among the top 10, at the seventh spot, right behind iPoker. In short, here’s the stats breakdown of the network:
• Number of cash players in the network – 1886;
• Highest number of players in a 24 hour period – 1886;
• Average number of players in the past 7 days – 900;
• Number of tournament players in the past 7 days – 0.
Now, these might not seem like impressive stats, but considering its past performance these stats are actually an improvement. Ever since PKR joined Microgaming’s network, their stats have been rising steadily. Just two months ago, the average number of players in a week was 659, but that number rose to 853 and 900 in the following months.
With its current pace, MPN might soon take the lead on Party Poker and Winamax.fr, but it still has plenty of road to cover until it gets close to the top spots, where Poker Stars is by far in the lead.
It’s also interesting to note that Microgaming’s growth is happening at a time when other networks are voicing concerns about traffic decline. The main reason, as many believe, is due to the migration of recreational players towards the MPN, where they can find easier tables.
Microgaming’s Poker Network Signs Red Kings
Following PKR, the latest operator to enter Microgaming’s poker network were Red Kings. According to Microgaming’s newsletter, the 8-year-old operator decided to make the move as to increase its “liquidity pool” and have access to the tournaments and promotions of the MPN network.
But the real reason is most likely due to the unofficial end of the OnGame network that is to happen this October. With the OnGame client out of the picture, many poker rooms, including red Kings, have been looking for other networks.
Since the migration is already complete, Red Kings players are as of now able to enjoy the perks and promotion offers of the MPN network, but also other features like the Casino in Poker client. With this client, poker players will be able to have a go on Microgaming’s casino games, most of which are slots.
RedBet to Soon Join the MPN
Following Red Kings’ example, Evoke Gaming have likewise posted official announcements on their poker brands WhiteBet Poker, RedBet Poker, and Heypoker that they will be moving their rooms to the MPN network. An official launch date is yet to be announced, and for now players will have to wait for the news update on their website.
