|
The final table is set in the 2016 Card Player Poker Tour Seneca Fall Poker Classic $1,000 no-limit hold’em main event. A total of 300 entries were made in this event, building a prize pool of $264,810 to easily surpass the $200,000 guarantee. Now only nine players remain with a shot to capture the title and the first-place prize of $64,882. The eventual champion will also grace an upcoming cover of Card Player magazine!
Only 57 players survived the two starting flights to make day 2, and from that group only 27 players made the money, with a min-cash being worth $2,013. The nine players remaining are all guaranteed at least $5,958 paydays.
The chip leader heading into the final table is Dan Wagner with 2,710,000. There are just under 9 million chips in play, which means that Wagner will enter the day with roughly 30 percent of the chips in his stack. Mark Allott (1,440,000) and Jay Clark (1,105,000) are the only other players who made it through the day with seven-figure stacks.
Notable players that hit the rail on day 2 included defending Seneca Fall Classic champion Kurtis Boutelle and last year’s third-place finisher Alex Visbisky, both of whom made day 2 with top-ten stacks. Both players ultimately hit the rail before the money bubble burst.
The final nine will return at noon local time. Blinds levels will be increased to 60 minutes in length for the final day.
