This is big. In fact, this is our biggest online tournament series ever! From Dec. 7-18, Americas Cardroom is pulling out all the stops with our final tournament series of the year to close out 2016 with some major excitement.
This 12-day event guarantees a massive $3.1 million in prize pools across 78 events. To put this in perspective of just how big it is, this Online Super Series has $500,000 more in guarantees than the last one we ran in September.
The reason we can afford to make such a hefty increase is that our player traffic has grown dramatically throughout 2016. The growth can be attributed in large part to our commitment to offering our players bigger and better tournament series than ever before. We’ve successfully hosted eight tournament series so far this year including two Online Super Series, three High Five Tournament Series, a Mini Online Super Series, a Bigger Online Super Series, and a Freebuy Super Series.
We’re continuing to push the envelope with this next series. It has something for everyone with buy-ins starting at just $1.10 so our smaller stakes community can parlay some success into some buy-ins for the bigger events with some massive prize pools. Our high stakes players have a lot to choose from including an enormous $5,100 buy-in Cage Event. This cash game in time-based tournament format will guarantee heart-pounding action not only for those who play in it, but for those who spectate from the rail as well.
Game types include no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better with various structures from regular to hyper turbo. The series culminates with one of our famous $1,000,000 GTD Million Dollar Sundays Main Events. This tournament offers life-changing money with a minimum of $200,000 going to the winner!
The buy-in for the MDS Main Event is $540 but there are plenty of opportunities to get in for a fraction of the cost. We’ll have a multitude of daily satellites leading up to the event along with mega satellites that will qualify hundreds of players on the final weekend of the series.
This will be our 10th $1 million GTD MDS Main Event since we began offering them in early 2015. The first seven overlaid massively but we stuck with it and our last two events have covered. Just another example of how far we’ve come in such a short time.
