The Loophole To Get Free MGM Property Parking On The Las Vegas StripFree Locals Parking Expired Dec. 28 at Midnight |

Most tourists have already experienced the sticker shock of trying to park on the Las Vegas Strip at places like Bellagio, Aria, The Mirage or Mandalay Bay, but as of today, locals will start to feel the hit to their wallet as well.
Back in June, 12 MGM casinos began charging for self-park and valet services at their properties. The decision had a ripple effect on the rest of Las Vegas Blvd., as Caesars Entertainment, The Cosmopolitan and Wynn Resorts have followed suit.
Although MGM has stated that collected parking fees will go to future garage improvements, local patrons may decide to stay away after discovering the $10-per-day fee for self park or $18 daily fee for valet.
Fortunately, Jane Ann Morrison of the Las Vegas Review Journal seems to have discovered a loophole.
According to Morrison, casino players can earn Pearl status on their M life Rewards Program simply by signing up for a particular credit card. One of the perks of being a Pearl player, of course, is free parking.
The card, which has no annual fee, essentially acts as your ticket to free MGM parking. So if you have the willpower to avoid a costly cash advance and don’t mind a slight hit to your credit score, you might want to look into getting the card.
According to the LVRJ, Las Vegas Sands doesn’t have plans to charge for any parking. The same goes for Station Casinos and Boyd Gaming, which both focus on the locals market. Caesars’ plan for paid self-parking doesn’t include the Rio, which is home to the annual World Series of Poker each summer.
