Planning a trip to Vegas to play some poker? Or perhaps you’re a local looking for a regular game? Don’t forget about parking!

You’ve probably heard that it costs a lot to park on the Strip these days, but that’s only true at some of the casinos.

So where can you park?

At the moment, if you want to play cards at the Venetian, Red Rock or The Orleans, you can do so without having to open your wallet in the garage or even at the valet.

You’ll have to pay for valet parking at the Wynn, but self-parking remains complimentary.

MGM has been charging for parking since last summer, but it was only recently that locals began getting a bill as well. If you want to play poker somewhere like the Aria, Bellagio, MGM Grand, the Mirage or Mandalay Bay, it will cost up to $10 a day to house your car or $18 for valet.

If you want to avoid paying for self park at MGM casinos, you’ll need to reach at least Pearl status on your M Life Rewards card and Gold status for valet. There is also a credit card you can sign up for that will automatically give you Pearl status.

Over at Caesars Palace, parking is still free, however Caesars Entertainment has stated that paid parking is coming and will vary from property to property. Nothing official has been confirmed, but multiple sources have stated that locals will still be able to park free, as well as players who reach the Platinum level on their Total Rewards card.

Caesars’ plan for paid parking will thankfully not include the Rio, which is off Strip and home to the annual World Series of Poker each summer.
