Maryland’s four poker rooms raked a combined $3.9 million in January, according to figures released this week by state gaming regulators.
That was up from the $2.9 million raked in January 2016 when there were three poker rooms.
The casinos raked $3.88 million in December, bringing the 2016 total to $35.4 million. A 39-table poker room from MGM National Harbor opened in early December.
MGM led the way in January with $1.8 million in poker revenue, followed by Maryland Live! with $1.58 million. Horseshoe Casino Baltimore had $440,000, while Hollywood Casino Perryville had $93,000.
Maryland Live! has the state’s largest poker room with 52 tables.
Horseshoe and Hollywood have 25 and 8 poker tables, respectively.
The state’s six casinos won a combined $126.2 million from all the games in January, a 42.8 percent increase from the $88.4 million won in January 2016.
