Poker Legend Phil Galfond's Former Penthouse Slide For Sale On CraigslistSeller Says Slide Sitting In Storage, Seeking $15,000 |

The famous slide that poker pro Phil Galfond had in his former New York City penthouse has found its way to Craigslist. The stainless steel slide was listed for $15,000 six days ago.
“This is an architectural, custom-made stainless steel slide for a duplex penthouse apartment recently dismantled and sitting in storage,” the posting says. “The slide has been engineered and hand-fabricated in Germany. The slide dissembles into 3 sections. It could be installed as a pool slide, tree house, etc.”
Galfond, one of the largest winners in the history of internet card playing, installed the slide to connect two units he purchased in 2008 for a combined $3.2 million. He sold the condo with the slide for $3.3 million in 2012, though he was seeking $4 million.
Like many of his peers, Galfond was negatively impacted by online poker’s Black Friday in early 2011. He was forced to relocate to Canada to continue playing online. He had to say goodbye to the penthouse that was also equipped with a terrace putting green.
Last fall, Galfond announced that he would be starting his own poker site based out of Malta.
In response to the Craigslist posting, the two-time WSOP bracelet winner wrote on Twitter: “It feels like every day lately I wake up to news that shakes my faith in humanity.”
