Maybe he’ll get enough money from this to freeroll the WSOP main event for life?
David Dao, the man who was attacked by authorities on board a United Airlines flight and dragged off the plane, has a slew of cashes in major poker tournaments.
Dao is in the spotlight this week after he refused to give up his seat Sunday after the airline overbooked the flight. Though he had purchased a ticket, he was asked to vacate to make room for crew members. Four passengers were randomly selected to leave after no one on the plane voluntarily got off. United would have none of it.
United had a security officer with the Chicago Department of Aviation come and remove him, and in the process knocked him unconscious. The incident happened at the O’Hare International Airport in Chicago. Dao is a doctor in Kentucky.
Poker pro Matt Stout was quick to recognize Dao, who is still recovering in a hospital.
