Nevada Casinos Win Nearly $1 Billion In MayWinning Streak Continues For Silver State Gaming Industry |

The winning streak continues.
Nevada’s casinos won a combined $991.6 million from gamblers in May, an increase of 3.5 percent year-over-year, according to figures released this week by state gaming regulators. Nevada has more than 300 casinos.
May’s performance for the state marked three straight months of year-over-year gains. Over the three months prior to June 1, statewide gaming win of $2.8 billion was up four percent compared to the same period in 2016.
Over the past 12 months, gaming win of $11.4 billion was up 3.3 percent.
On or around the Las Vegas Strip, where the majority of statewide gaming revenue is generated, May gaming win of $546.7 million was nearly three percent better year-over-year.
Win over the prior three months and prior 12 months was $1.54 billion and $6.46 billion, respectively. The increases were 2.6 and 3.5 percent, respectively.
There are 40 casinos in the Strip area.
