Global Poker officially wrapped up the highly successful Online World Challenge (OWC) last week, capping off a massive series that saw more than SC$1.5 million given away to a player pool with more than 188,000 entries.
The Regular Sunday OWC saw its guarantee upped from SC$7,500 to SC$10,000 and as a result, the tournament saw a 50 percent increase in entries. In the end, the title went to ‘GoodTurn2’ who topped 315 players for the SC$2,465 first-place prize.
The OWC Monster Freeroll ended up being the largest tournament in the series with 524 entries. The eventual winner was ‘jfried10’ who banked SC$2,295 for the victory.
With the OWC in the rear-view mirror, Global Poker is now turning it’s attention to their recently revamped regular tournament schedule. The Global Poker team has made a few changes, providing even more value to the players.
