Bani33 eliminates eom2000 from the Sunday Million.
PokerStars Sunday Million
The
PokerStars Sunday Million tournament had 6,905 entrants last night, down from the 7,060 entrants the tournament had last weekend. The entries generated a prize pool of $1,381,000.
ANDAMAN 974 was the chip leader when it got down to the final nine players. He had $16.8 million and was the only player with a seven-digit chip stack. Bani33 was in second place with $9.6 million and 1bigbluffer1 and peterjenning were bringing up the rear with $2.6 million and $4 million, respectively, when the big blind was at $250,000.
The first two eliminations went according to the initial chip stacks. First, 1bigbluffer1 reraised all in against a preflop raise from ANDAMAN 974 and ANDAMAN 974 called and showed K
Q
. 1bigbluffer1 held pocket eights for a coin-flip situation. The board ran out A
9
7
4
K
, spiking a king on the river to give ANDAMAN 974 the lead in the hand to take 1bigbluffer1 out in ninth place ($8,148).
In the second elimination hand of the final table, wandsworth open-pushed all in from under the gun and peterjenning called all in in mid-position. Wandsworth turned over A
3
and was decently behind peterjenning's pocket kings. The board ran out Q
7
2
9
A
and, again, the river spelled doom for a final-table participant. Wandsworth's pair of aces on the river cracked peterjenning's kings and sent him packing in eighth place, for $12,429.
Wandsworth then tried to rally the troops to discuss a possible chop, but both bani33 and goodvibe1 wanted to keep playing. That was especially bad news for wandsworth, as he was the next player to go. Bani33 raised to $1 million preflop, with the big blind now at $400,000, and wandsworth pushed all in over the top for $5.9 million. Bani33 called and revealed K
Q
and was a
69 percent favorite versus wandsworth's 9
4
. The flop came Q
7
2
, pairing bani33's queen to further his lead and leave wandsworth with just a
6 percent chance to stay alive. The turn was the J
and wandsworth was drawing dead and out in seventh place, earning $21,406.
Brooks2330 was the next to go just five minutes later when he reraised all in versus bani33's preflop raise. Bani33 called and turned over pocket aces and was a
91 percent favorite to win the hand against Brooks2330's unfortunate A
J
. The board paired, but otherwise missed both players, and bani33's aces held up to take Brooks2330 out in sixth place ($30,382). Bani33 had held a slim chip lead before the hand and now sat with $26.1 million versus ANDAMAN 974 in second place with $20.3 million.
Eom2000 became crippled when he called goodvibe1's preflop all in. Goodvibe1 held pocket nines and eom2000 had big slick suited. Goodvibe1 hit a set on the flop and eom2000's stack was down to just $867,000, when the big blind was at $400,000. Eom2000 open-pushed all in preflop soon thereafter and was called by bani33. Eom2000 turned over J
7
and was behind versus bani33's K
9
. The board ran out 9
6
4
7
10
, pairing both players but leaving bani33 in the lead with a pair of nines, and eom2000 was out in fifth place ($41,430). Goodvibe1 then told the table that he was now ready to talk chops, but bani33 again expressed that he'd rather play it out.
ANDAMAN 974 had pulled back into the lead at this point and siphoned off a huge chunk of bani33's stack in a hand that was played aggressively down to the river with the board showing 8
7
3
8
J
and $31.5 million in the pot. Bani33 checked the river, after having led out on the turn, and ANDAMAN 974 pushed all in for $12.3 million. Bani33 folded and he was left with just $7.3 million in his stack. He open-pushed all in two minutes later in the small blind and was called by dangdokodang in the big blind. Bani33 showed K
8
and was in trouble against dangdokodang's A
Q
. ANDAMAN 974 typed "Yessssssssss" in the chat box as the board ran out Q

to put bani33 out in fourth place ($55,240) and conceivably open the door to chop discussions.
The three remaining players did, in fact, pause the tournament to discuss a chop. A straight by-the-chips chop was eventually agreed upon with ANDAMAN 974, the chip leader, guaranteeing himself $147,561, dangdokodang guaranteeing himself $102,030, and goodvibe1 locking up $82,231. Per the PokerStars chopping rules, $30,000 remained on the line for the eventual winner.
Goodvibe1 put himself out of the running for the extra $30K when he pushed all in for $9.1 million against a preflop raise to $2 million from ANDAMAN 974. ANDAMAN 974 called and turned over pocket nines and was in a coin-flip situation versus goodvibe1's A
Q
. The board ran out 6
5
4
5
2
, pairing, but otherwise leaving both players unimproved, and goodvibe1 was out in third place.
ANDAMAN 974 now had $52.2 million compared to dangdokodang's $16.8 million. Dangdokodang evened the playing field in the very first hand of heads-up play when he got all in preflop with Q-J and drew out on ANDAMAN 974's dominating K-Q. ANDAMAN 974 then slowly regained almost his entire lead back before dangdokodang went all in preflop and doubled up again with A-5 versus ANDAMAN 974's K-J suited. Dangdokodang now had the chip lead and kept it until the final hand.
ANDAMAN 974 ($14 million) raised to $1.2 million preflop, with the big blind at $600,000, and dangdokodang ($55.1 million) reraised to $25.8 million. ANDAMAN 974 called all in and showed K
9
and was behind against dangdokodang's A
J
. The board ran out Q
8
7
A
J
, giving dangdokodang and unnecessary two pair to eliminate ANDAMAN 974 in second place. Dangdokodang won the tournament to earn the extra $30,000, putting his total winnings at $132,030. ANDAMAN 974 was the overall money-winner of the tournament with $147,561 in winnings.
The final results were:
*1) dangdokodang - $132,029.83
*2) ANDAMAN 974 - $147,560.79
*3) goodvibe1 - $82,231.37
4) bani33 - $55,240
5) eom2000 - $41,430
6) Brooks2330 - $30,382
7) wandsworth - $21,405.50
8) peterjenning - $12,429
9) 1bigbluffer1 - $8,147.90
* Payout reflects a three-way by-the-chips chop with $30,000 remaining on the table for the eventual winner, per the PokerStars chopping rules.
Full Tilt $400,000 Guarantee
The
Full Tilt $400,000-guaranteed tournament's entry numbers rose ever so slightly last night when 2,765 entrants ponied up the $200 buy-in compared with last weekend's 2,719. The prize pool came to $553,000, which offered a six-digit first-place prize.
GimmeDa1time (a prominent Internet pro, also known as
puffinmypurp on PokerStars) had a significant chip lead when the final table began with $2.2 million, 27 percent of the chips in play. IloveFilli was in second place with $1.5 million and uducky was in third place with $1.2 million. Notable Internet poker player
torkolort also made the final table of the event, but was a short stack and made an early exit when his 9-3 failed to catch up to his opponent's Q-10. He finished in ninth place, earning $7,742.
IloveFilli's second-place stack diminished over time until he was the short stack and called all in preflop with pocket deuces against GimmeDa1time, who revealed A

. The board ran out K
Q

and GimmeDa1time's ace-high flush put IloveFilli out of the tournament in sixth place ($17,530).
GimmeDa1time was still the chip leader when it got down to three-handed play. He had $3.8 million versus bgitty with $2.3 million and uducky with $2.2 million. Uducky lasted just one more minute before his final hand. GimmeDa1time raised to $275,000 prelfop in the small blind, with the big blind at $100,000, and uducky called in the big blind. The flop came K
7
2
and GimmeDa1time checked. Uducky bet $300,000 and GimmeDa1time called, after some thought. The turn was the 8
and GimmeDa1time again checked. Uducky bet $500,000 and GimmeDa1time check-raised all in, having uducky covered. Uducky called all in and showed K
J
for top pair and GimmeDa1time flipped up pocket kings for top set and uducky was drawing dead. He earned $40,369 for his third-place finish.
GimmeDa1time now had a more than 2-1 chip advantage over bgitty going into heads-up play with $5.7 million versus $2.6 million. The heads-up match lasted just over five minutes before the final hand.
Bgitty raised to $225,000 preflop and GimmeDa1time reraised to $821,000. Bgitty pushed all in for $2.1 million total and GimmeDa1time called and showed A
10
and was dominating bgitty's A

. The flop came J

, leaving bgitty with just a
6 percent chance of surviving the hand. The turn was the 5

UltimateBet $200,000 Guarantee
Eight hundred and sixty-five entrants bought into the
UltimateBet $200,000 guarantee last night, down fairly significantly from last Sunday's 934 entrants. The tournament required a hefty $27,000 overlay to meet the $200,000-guaranteed prize pool.
The final table of the event had some heavyweight Internet poker pros in attendance with
Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul,
Tim "Tmay_420" West, Michael "mikeivey" Meredith (better known as
mman_status), and rockets_Ifold (aka
hit21hit). Another player at the table,
clcktower, was notable in that he'd been to this final table three times previously this year alone, with his best finish being fourth place ($13,000) on March 25.
BeL0WaB0Ve was the chip leader as the table began, with $501,000 in chips, and Kenny Rap was right behind him in second place with $397,000. The other players were spread between $279,000 and $59,000. Rockets_Ifold was the first of the notables to bust out when he got all in on a board showing K
9

and was called by 11julieT, who showed A
J
for the nut flush. Rockets_Ifold held pocket eights and was drawing dead. He earned $3,500 for ninth place.
Clcktower was the very next player to go when he pushed all in preflop with K

Mikeivey was sent to the rail in sixth place when he pushed all in preflop with pocket fives and was called by Kenny Rap with a dominating pocket aces. The flop came A-8-8, giving Kenny Rap a full house and leaving mikeivey with just a
0.2 percent chance of surviving (with either running eights or running fives). The turn was a 7 and mikeivey was drawing dead. He made $9,000 for his finish.
Tmay_420 followed him out the door shortly thereafter when he called all in on a flop of J-3-2 against Kenny Rap after a limped preflop battle of the blinds. Kenny Rap showed K-J for top pair and Tmay_420 turned over 3-2 for two pair and the lead. The turn was a 10 and the river a king to give Kenny Rap a better two pair to take down the pot and eliminate Tmay_420 in fifth place ($11,000).
BeL0WaB0Ve was the last prominent Internet pro standing when it got down to threehanded play. He was in third place with $672,000 compared to bgizzel in first with $801,000 and Kenny Rap in second with $690,000. BeL0WaB0Ve lost ground over the five minutes of three-way play before his final hand.
Kenny Rap raised to $50,000 on the button, with the big blind at $20,000, and bgizzel folded. BeL0WaB0Ve pushed all in from the big blind for $510,000 and Kenny Rap called and flipped up pocket jacks. BeL0WaB0Ve was well behind with pocket fives and needed a lot of help. The board ran out K

It was now heads up and Kenny Rap had the chip lead with $1.2 million versus bgizzel's $914,000. Bgizzel managed to close the small gap and pull into the chip lead before the final hand six minutes later.
Bgizzel ($1.4 million) raised to $50,000 preflop and Kenny Rap ($738,000) reraised to $154,000. Bgizzel called and the flop came 8

Bodog $100,000 Guarantee
Bodog's $100,000-guaranteed tournament had 819 entrants last night, down from last weekend's 882. The low attendance meant Bodog had to put up $18,100 out of pocket to match the posted guarantee.
Andy McLEOD, currently No. 3 in the
Online Player of the Year standings, made the final table of the tournament under his Bodog screen name Mike HUSSEY.
Mike HUSSEY had $608,000 in chips when the final table began, which put him in the chip lead. Iron Yuppie was his next-closest opponent with $528,000 in chips. Every other player had fewer than $200,000 in their stacks.
Mike HUSSEY held his chip lead until play was fivehanded. During five-way play, he called an opponent's all in on a flop of 9-5-3 and showed A-K. His opponent, jjjj, held 10-9 for the lead with a pair of nines and hit an unneeded 10 on the river to take a big chunk out of Mike HUSSEY's stack. His stack then continued to shrink when he got all in preflop as the underdog in a few hands against short-stacked players and failed to catch up.
Finally, Mike HUSSEY was left with just $252,000 in the small blind, when the big blind was $30,000. Jjjj min-raised preflop and Mike HUSSEY pushed all in over the top. MMZentner reraised all in in the big blind for $443,000, folding jjjj, and he showed pocket kings. Mike HUSSEY was in deep trouble with pocket nines and needed to improve. The board ran out A-A-3-5-K, giving MMZentner an unneeded full house on the river to eliminate Mike HUSSEY in fifth place ($5,400).
When it got down to three-way play, jjjj held a slim lead over MMZentner in second place; they had $766,000 and $748,000, respectively. Iron Yuppie was in third place with $533,000. MMZentner had forged a decent chip lead after four minutes of threehanded play and sat with $870,000. He raised to $165,000 on the button, with the big blind at $40,000, and jjjj reraised all in over the top for $525,000. Iron Yuppie folded in the big blind and MMZentner quickly called and showed A
10
. Jjjj turned over a dominated A
7
and needed help. The flop came 10
6
2
, furthering MMZentner's lead and leaving jjjj with just a
6 percent chance to survive. The turn was the 5
and jjjj was drawing dead. He earned $9,000 for third place.
MMZentner now had a good chip lead going into heads-up play. He had $1.4 million compared to Iron Yuppie's $600,000. Iron Yuppie closed the gap within three minutes and the two players were virtually even in chips. Iron Yuppie continued his hot streak and eventually pulled into the lead with $1.3 million versus MMZentner's $749,000. Thw tournament would be over just two hands and one minute later.
Iron Yuppie called $40,000 in the small blind and MMZentner pushed all in for $749,000 in the big blind. Iron Yuppie called and showed pocket fours and was a slight favorite versus MMZentner's A
10
. The board ran out K
K

and MMZentner made a flush on the river to double up. Iron Yuppie was left with just $541,000 after the hand.
MMZentner open-pushed all in in the very next hand and Iron Yuppie called. MMZentner held K

and Iron Yuppie revealed A

, giving MMZentner the lead with a pair of nines and a flush draw. The turn and river were blanks, the 3
and the 2
, and Iron Yuppie went from the chip lead to out in just two hands. He collected $14,000 for second place. MMZentner pocketed $25,000 for his first-place finish in the tournament.
The final results were:
1) MMZentner - $25,000
2) Iron Yuppie - $14,000
3) jjjj - $9,000
