Day Two Leaders of $5,000 WSOP Event Are Tough

Cloutier, Gracz, Liebert, and Barch Have Plenty of Chips

Day two of the $5,000 no-limit hold'em event is set to take place today, and among those in the top 10 chips leaders are several World Series of Poker bracelet winners - one of whom also was nominated for an Oscar.

The tournament's leaders and their chip counts are:

  • Dustin Dirksen, $304,500
  • Tex Barch, $219,000
  • Kathy Liebert, $160,000
  • Jennifer Tilly, $140,000
  • Chris Martin, $127,000
  • Dustin "neverwin" Woolf, $120,000
  • Michael Gracz, $118,000
  • Davidson Matthew, $102,000
  • T.J. Cloutier, $100,000
  • Daryn Firicano, $100,000

Barch finished third in the 2005 WSOP main event, which was good for $2.5 million. Liebert has a WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 limit hold'em shootout in 2004 and has won nearly $4 million on the tournament trail.

Tilly holds a WSOP bracelet in the 2005 $1,000 ladies event. Martin is an online poker baller who consistently plays and cashes in the biggest events online. Woolf is another Internet guru who has recently made a splash on the tournament trail. He has more than $680,000 in wins.

Gracz holds a WSOP bracelet in a $1,000 no-limit event from 2005. He also has won a World Poker Tour championship event (PartyPoker Million IV) and has cashed for more than $2.8 million since 2004.

But Cloutier is the most seasoned of all the players in the top 10. In WSOP history, Cloutier made more final tables than anyone, with 39. e is tied in eighth place on the most WSOP bracelets won list with six and is third on the most WSOP cashes list with 51.

The winner of this event receives $730,740. Runner-up wins $448,892, and everyone who made it to 55th place or higher wins at least $10,394.
