Canterbury Park's October Fall Poker Classic Offers More Than $1 Million In Prizes

Canterbury ParkCanterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota is one of the Midwest’s top poker destinations, and the player-favorite Fall Poker Classic is just around the corner, scheduled for Oct. 5-21.

Featuring dozens of tournaments, with prizes totaling more than $1 million, this popular Fall event is one the players look forward to all year. The variety of tournaments this year include $125 Crazy Pineapple, $350 H.O.R.S.E., $125 ladies event, $250 tag-team event, $235 limit big mix, $125 win the button, $235 Omaha eight-or-better, $235 pot-limit Omaha, $3,500 high roller, and the $1,100 main event.

The main event features two starting flights, kicking off on Oct. 19 and 20. Players can win their seat with several $260 satellites scheduled throughout the series.

Canterbury Park Tournament Director Caris Norberg, who is known for always making players feel welcome and comfortable, added some pretty unique events this year to the
schedule.

“The big blind ante, monster stack, crazy pineapple, and a $600 buy-in tag-team event should enhance the experience for our players and add an extra element of fun,” Norberg said. “The Fall Poker Classic really is the Midwest’s best tournament series, attracting players from across the country and Canada. We have events for every bankroll, so people can enjoy the atmosphere and play in some big fields with big paydays.”
