2019 Card Player Poker Tour Ocean's 11 San Diego Classic Kicks Off Jan. 24

The Eighth Running Of This Event Is Set To Take Place From January 24-27

The Card Player Poker Tour is set to make its return to Ocean’s 11 Casino in beautiful Oceanside, California for the eighth time to bring you another running of the San Diego Classic, a $250 buy-in main event that features six starting flights spread out over three days (Jan. 24-26), with 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. flights available Thursday through Saturday. The tournament has a $150,000 estimated prize pool, but the two most recent runnings of this tournament each surpassed $220,000 in prize money.

Players can enter any one of the six starting flight for $250 and re-enter while registration is open. This event also allows players another unique option: they can take advantage of the Quantum Tournament structure of this event and buy in for $1,500 on Sunday, Jan. 27 for day 2 and receive 100,000 in tournament chips. Players can also pay a $30 optional staff add-on and receive an additional 20,000 in chips. A single day 2 re-entry will be available to players up until the end of the second level that day.

As previously mentioned, this will be the eighth time the CPPT has partnered with Ocean’s 11 for this event. In April of 2016 Robert DeAgazio took home $23,813 for topping a field of 778 entries. In January of 2017, Barry Knowlton pocketed $17,157 after he overcame a field of 582.

2018 CPPT Ocean's Eleven July Winner Seth BrownIn April of 2017 Shawn Busse outlasted a massive field of 920 total entries to win $48,910. Barry Seidman topped 910 entries in July of 2017 to win $38,873. Scott ‘Brian’ Blount earned $37,010 after defeating a field of 691 entries in January of 2018. David McCaw outlasted 949 entries, the largest CPPT event held at the property, to win $29,649 in April of 2018. In July Seth Brown took home $46,870 after beating out a field of 938 entries.

Ocean’s Eleven is the only casino in Southern California located along the Pacific Ocean on the Interstate 5 freeway, less than a mile from some of the area’s most picturesque beaches. The property also boasts 50 tables of the best poker and table games found anywhere in California with all the favorite poker games, including no-limit and limit hold’em, Omaha, Omaha eight-or-better, pot-limit Omaha, and crazy pineapple.
