The 270 Days Were Up Yesterday

It's been 271 days since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was signed into law by President George W. Bush and there's still no word on how it will be enforced.

This is significant because the act itself calls for the Secretary and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System - with help from the Attorney General's office - to prescribe regulations to enforce the act within 270 days.

As of today, there has been no word from the Treasury Department or the Attorney General's office as to how the act will be enforced. CardPlayer.com is waiting to hear back from the government concerning this issue.

Please keep tuned to CardPlayer.com, as another update on this issue will soon be posted when more information becomes available, and please click here to visit the CardPlayer.com page dedicated to covering poker legislation.
