The playoffs for the upcoming NBA season are still nine months away, but one gambler will be anxiously awaiting the end of the 2019-2020 regular season.

A sports bettor placed two huge sports bets on the favorites in the Eastern Conference to make the postseason and laid the casino a huge price, according to a report from ESPN Chalk.

The bettor placed a $100,500 bet on the Philadelphia 76ers and another $10,000 on the Milwaukee Bucks to finish in the top eight teams in the conference at -5,000 and -10,000 odds respectively. The bettor, who wished to remain anonymous would earn a profit of $2,010 on his 76ers bet and $100 if the Bucks make the playoffs.

The gambler placed these bets at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and they were confirmed to ESPN by Jeff Sherman, vice president of the casino’s sportsbook.

Sherman also confirmed that the same gambler bet on the Golden State Warriors to make the playoffs last season. He bet $67,000 at -10,000 odds and received a $670 profit at the conclusion of the regular season.

Philadelphia and Milwaukee are two of the favorites in the East. The Superbook at the Westgate set the over/under for Milwaukee’s regular season win total at 58.5, the highest of any team listed. Philadelphia. Philadelphia’s line is set at 55.5.

Last season, Milwaukee finished the regular season atop the Eastern Conference with 61 wins. Philadelphia finished third with a record of 51-31.

The last time someone placed such a large bet with terrible odds was during last March’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament when a sports bettor bet $500,000 on the University of Michigan to beat Montana and $527,777 on Texas Tech to beat Northern Kentucky. He won both bets and earned $65,475 for more than $1 million wagered.
