Florida’s largest casino finished a three-year, $1.5 billion renovation Thursday.

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, located just south of Fort Lauderdale, officially opened its new 36-story guitar-shaped hotel tower, new restaurants, bars, and doubling of the gaming space with a red-carpet celebration and several celebrities on hand to jumpstart the party.

The property is home to multiple World Poker Tour stops per year. This year, there are two main tour stops and one WPTDeepStacks event. The brand-new poker room held a celebrity cash game that featured former Marlins outfielder Jeff Conine, five-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Jason Mercier, his wife and poker pro Natasha Mercier, Miami-area sports radio talk show host Andy Slater, and poker pro Jeff Gross.

For the last several years, while the new poker room was being built, the poker room was in the convention center space. Based on tweets from the Seminole Hard Rock poker room’s official account, the new room looks to be modeled similarly to their sister property in Tampa, which opened a new poker room a couple of years ago.

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, Morgan Freeman, Johnny Depp and Klhoe Kardashian were among the celebrities in attendance for the festivities, which included a fireworks celebration for the opening of the new tower.

The largest of the several Seminole properties throughout the Sunshine State is home to four major poker tournament series a year. The Lucky Hearts Poker Open, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open and the Rock N’ Roll Poker Open. Their sister properties also hold tournament series branded by the WSOP Circuit and the WPT.

With renovations finished, the property now has a 7,000-seat casino floor, 1,200 htel rooms and more than 3,000 slot machines and tables games. The tribe made similar renovations to its Tampa property earlier this month.
