Danny Fisher, a poker dealer at Austin’s Texas Card House and the columnist behind Card Player’s One Time, Dealer series has been hospitalized after complications stemming from gallbladder surgery late last year.

Fisher, who has dealt poker and worked events in various cardrooms all over the country, has been forced to undergo three additional operations and has been in the ICU for weeks, and is now looking to the poker community for help and support.

Danny FisherFisher has penned dozens of columns for Card Player Magazine as ‘The Dealer Chick,’ a traveling poker circuit dealer who answers questions from the community about everything from pitching the cards to proper table etiquette.

Some of her more popular pieces include Keeping The Game Moving, Congratulations You Lost, Tipping Pros Vs. Joes, Hospice For Assholes, and Women In Poker: Demanding A Seat At The Table. You can check out all of her writing for Card Player on her author page.

Her friends and colleagues have put together a GoFundMe page to help her take care of mounting medical expenses.
