First-Ever World Poker Tour Online Series AnnouncedThe WPT Will Partner With partypoker For The Event, Which Will Run May 10-26 |

On Friday, Mar. 13, 2020 the World Poker Tour announced the first-ever WPT Online Series in a partnership with partypoker. The first event WPT to be held online will take place exclusively on the partypoker platform and run from May 10-26.
“The WPT and partypoker are proud to break new ground for both of our brands with the first WPT Online festival,” said World Poker Tour CEO Adam Pliska. “Players from around the globe can look forward to the opportunity to play in World Poker Tour events from the comfort of their homes at all buy-in levels.”
The centerpiece of the series is the $5,000,000 guaranteed WPT Online Championship that will run throughout the festival, with the first starting flights kicking off on May 10. Alongside the championship event, there will also be a $1,000,000 guaranteed WPT500 Online event running from May 10-18 with 10 starting flights available, and a $1,000,000 guaranteed WPTDeepStacks Online event that will close out the series on May 25-26.
“$7 million in guarantees for WPT events alone on partypoker is an exciting breakthrough for our partnership, and we can’t wait to crown our first WPT Online Championship winner and see them in the WPT Tournament of Champions presented by Baccarat Crystal,” said Hermance Blum, the WPT VP Europe.
The partypoker online series that the WPT Online events will be a part of includes $30 million in total guarantees.
