Two big constants on the Global Poker weekly tournament schedule are the Sunday Teaser and the Sunday Scrimmage, which have guarantees of SC 40,000 and SC 80,000, respectively.
This week, West Virginia’s ‘StarCityAnth’ topped a field of 355 entrants in the SC 110 buy-in Teaser to score the win and a top prize of SC 7,656.
The buy-in was nearly doubled to SC 218 for the Scrimmage, which saw 455 players enter the tournament to create an SC 91,000 prize pool. In the end, the title and the SC 17,153 payout went to Indiana’s ‘Penta.’
Of course, if that name sounds familiar, you might recognize Nathan ‘Penta’ Blair as the very same player who won the 2017 Global Poker Eagle Cup leaderboard.
"Penta" shipped the event for SC17,153.50. Also on the podium were "Pocketks40" taking second place for SC12,603.50 and "Rivertranced" finishing in third place for SC9,282. #GlobalPoker pic.twitter.com/QWY4YWh3QM
