Poker vlogger and streamer Ryan Depaulo won one of the most recent World Series of Poker online bracelets from his car in a Whole Foods parking lot in New Jersey.

Thanks to his win, he’ll be shelling out a chunk of his winnings to fly one fan from Canada to New York for an NFL game.

The afternoon following Depaulo’s victory in the “Big 500” $500 no-limit hold’em event, Riley Douglas tweeted at Depaulo, reminding him of a promise he made earlier in the year during one of his streams on Americas Cardroom. Both Depaulo and Douglas are big New York sports fans.

Douglas attached a 30-second video clip to his tweet that showed Depaulo promising that if he won a WSOP bracelet in 2020, he would fly Douglas to New York for the Jets’ home opener.

“I swear to god Dougie, that’s a f***in deal. Clip this,” said Depaulo in the video. “If I win any bracelet, I will fly you out to New York and we’ll go to the Jets home opener. On my mother’s grave.”

Shortly after Douglas tweeted at Depaulo, the bracelet winner tweeted the same clip and said that he would stick true to his word and drop some cash to fly Douglas, “corona depending.”

For sticking to his word, former high-stakes poker pro and online poker site founder Bryan Micon applauded him.

Other commenters took the opportunity to rip on the fandom of both Depaulo and Douglas.
