The National Poker League began its 2007 World Circuit Tour with the UK Open in London on Aug. 12, 2007. Mike Conway won event one, a £500 no-limit hold'em tournament, picking up £5,000. The field of 25 played down to five, including Tony G and Dave "El Blondie" Colclough.

Dave "El Blondie" Colclough was eliminated in fifth place for £750. He raised preflop with A J and got action from every player at the table. Two players held pocket pairs, and when the flop came down AJ9, Colclough was in trouble because he had flopped top two pair against Steven Razab's set of nines. Colclough was first to act and decided not to slowplay his monster and led out with a bet of £6,700, half of his stack. Razab did not mess around and moved all in, Colclough of course made the call but found no help on the turn or river.

Tony G exited in third place for £1,850. Raising preflop with Q-7 suited, he was met with an all-in from Mike Conway holding A-10 offsuit. The flop turned up an ace for Conway and a 7 for Tony but the turn and river were blank and G was gone.

Event two, also a £500 no-limit hold'em event, played down to a final table of six, including Jason De Freitas (£32,700 in chips), Dave Colclough (£27,050 in chips), Paul Ephremsen (£23,100 in chips), Hugh Mullally (£11,450 in chips), Stuart Nash (£11,100 in chips), and Albert Sapiano (£9,800 in chips).

The National Poker League is being filmed for broadcast across the globe and also features stops in Las Vegas, Monte Carlo, Manila, and Toronto.
