Ali Imsirovic Continues His Domination Of The High Roller Circuit With Eighth Win Of The Year26-Year-Old Takes Down Second PokerGO Cup Event In Three Days |

The kid just can’t be stopped!
Despite being one of the youngest regulars on the high roller circuit, Ali Imsirovic has already made a place for himself among the very best in the game today.
The 26-year-old was taking down big buy-in tournaments with regularity before the pandemic, but he has taken his game to another level in 2021, rivaling runs seen in the past from players such as Dan Colman, Justin Bonomo, Fedor Holz, and Bryn Kenney.
The pro from Vancouver, Washington won his eighth title of the year on Saturday night, defeating a field of 50 entrants in the $15,000 buy-in PokerGO Cup no-limit hold’em event for $240,000. It was also his second title in just three days, making him the front runner on the series leaderboard.

“This is what I want most in poker, to win these high roller-type series against really tough competition,” Imsirovic said. “You have to do well over a bunch of tournaments and there’s a lot of variance so obviously you’ve got to run good, but these kinds of series feel way more prestigious than anything else I could really win. So that means the most of anything in poker to me.”
What Ali wants, Ali seems to get.
Imsirovic, who also won the Poker Masters series leaderboard in 2018, currently leads the world in the three major statistical categories for tournaments. He has eight wins (nobody else has more than three), 17 final tables, and nearly $2.8 million in earnings. As a result, he now holds a big lead in both the Card Player Player of the Year race, and the PokerGO Tour leaderboard.

Others have even tried to imitate Imsirovic’s look, hoping that by also wearing one of his signature Dragon Ball Z hoodies, some of the luck may rub off.
Imsirovic didn’t even start playing high rollers until 2018, but he has already won more than $12.2 million in his short career. His largest score was for $1,089,000 for finishing runner-up in the 2019 Super High Roller Bowl London.
The final table of this PokerGO Cup event featured top pros Stephen Chidwick, Alex Foxen, Jordan Cristos, and eventual runner-up Daniel Weinand. The last eight players made the money in the tournament, earning a mincash of at least $30,000.
