Las Vegas-style Casinos in the state of Maryland continue to rebound from an earlier period of the pandemic
The state’s gambling regulator said this week that the six casinos combined to generate $153.76 million in gaming revenue during January 2022, an increase of $24.99 million (19.4%) compared to January 2021, when the casinos were operating under capacity restrictions due to COVID-19.
The gaming revenue totals for January 2022 were:
- MGM National Harbor (2,122 slot machines, 204 table games)
$67,090,648 in January 2022, an increase of $16,587,883 (32.8%) from January 2021
- Live! Casino & Hotel (3,754 slot machines, 187 table games)
$54,631,052 in January 2022, an increase of $6,858,555 (14.4%) from January 2021
- Horseshoe Casino (1,417 slot machines, 145 table games)
$16,112,570 in January 2022, an increase of $2,354,917 (17.1%) from January 2021
- Hollywood Casino (724 slot machines, 18 table games)
$6,651,783 in January 2022, a decrease of $188,947 (-2.8%) from January 2021
- Ocean Downs Casino (815 slot machines, 18 table games)
$4,967,726 in January 2022, a decrease of $698,163 (-12.3%) from January 2021
- Rocky Gap Casino (626 slot machines, 16 table games)
$4,300,336 in January 2022, an increase of $76,353 (1.8%) from January 2021
