WSOP Launches Online Poker In Michigan, Signs Former Main Event Winner Joe Cada To DealMichigan Is The Fourth State For The Poker Site |

The World Series of Poker’s online poker site launched Monday in the state of Michigan, the fourth state for the fledgling poker platform.
The WSOP is also live in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and New Jersey. Under a deal to share online poker players, WSOP is able to pool player pools across Nevada and New Jersey. Neither Pennsylvania nor Michigan have yet joined that arrangement.
The WSOP first launched in Nevada in 2013.
The WSOP said that it has partnered with 2009 WSOP Main Event champion and four-time bracelet winner Joe Cada. The poker pro will represent the brand in Michigan and Las Vegas.
The WSOP is offering a $1,000 bounty involving Cada and the 2022 WSOP Main Event. Cada will host live streaming sessions from the site, participate in bounty events, and host live tournaments around Michigan.
Ryan Riess, winner of the 2013 WSOP Main Event, is also from the state. He is the leader on the state’s all-time tournament money list with about $15 million in lifetime cashes. Cada is not far behind roughly $14 million.
“With two world champions coming out of this state, Michigan is a special market for the WSOP,” said Senior Vice President of the World Series of Poker Ty Stewart. “We’re sorry it’s taken so long, but WSOP.com is ready to make up for our late entry.”
“It’s go time in Michigan,” Cada added. “I know a lot of local players are excited that WSOP.com is finally live in the state and I’m personally looking forward to getting to know all the great poker players at tournaments and online events soon.”
