The Card Player Poker Tour has returned to bestbet Jacksonville, home of the largest poker room in Florida, for a 16-event tournament series running from Oct. 27 – Nov. 14. This marks the ninth time that the CPPT has teamed up with the North Florida poker mainstay.
“This will definitely be our biggest Card Player Poker Tour event,” said bestbet Executive Director of Poker Operations Jesse Hollander.
This year’s CPPT $3,000 buy-in main event will run from Nov. 11-14, the final weekend of the festival. There are two starting flights offered, kicking off at noon on Friday and Saturday. Players will start with 40,000 in chips, with 60-minute blind levels to start.
The main event final table will be streamed on bestbetLIVE, the card room’s popular YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Live channel that hosts tournament and cash game action.
Like every tournament on the schedule for this series, the main event will feature unlimited re-entries during the registration period. Registration for the tournament will remain open until the start of level 9.
The most recent CPPT bestbet Jacksonville main event took place in June of 2021. The $2,500 buy-in tournament attracted 339 total entries, building a prize pool of $759,360.
25-year-old hometown hero Ben Scrogins emerged victorious, taking home $158,915 as the champion after defeating World Series of Poker bracelet winner and eight-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Kyle Cartwright heads-up for the title.
