FanDuel TV, the cable television network from online gambling company FanDuel, announced that it is launching a new NBA-centric show entitled “Run it Back” to be hosted by former ESPN alum Michelle Beadle and former NBA player Chandler Parsons.
In addition, the hosts of Run it Back will be joined frequently by basketball journalist Shams Charania, who will bring insights and breaking news to the show each week. Run it Back will air Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. ET.
“FanDuel TV was designed for viewers to watch and wager and Run it Back will bring a 360-degree view of the NBA including wagering trends to our audience,” said FanDuel’s Chief Commercial Officer Mike Raffensperger. “Every NBA season offers its own unique intrigue and as the narrative of each season unfolds Run it Back will be there every step of the way.”
In addition to making regular appearances on Run it Back, Charania will partner with FanDuel and use FanDuel Sportsbook odds exclusively in his news reporting.
“This is a first of its kind integration where one of the NBA’s leading journalists will source news from an official NBA sportsbook partner in his tweets and content,” FanDuel said. “In keeping with its commitment to safer gambling and sports integrity, FanDuel and Charania agreed that he will be prohibited from signing up for FanDuel daily fantasy sports (DFS) and sportsbook account.”
Beadle is a veteran NBA journalist. She hosted NBA Countdown on ESPN in 2016. In April 2018, she also began co-hosting a morning sports show on ESPN called Get Up! along with Jalen Rose and Mike Greenberg. In August of the same year, ESPN announced that Beadle would be leaving Get Up! by the end of the month and instead focus her efforts on NBA coverage. However, in 2019, Beadle abruptly left NBA Countdown. ESPN replaced her with Rachel Nichols and Maria Taylor. Beadle left ESPN entirely a short time later.
Beadle has also worked for NBC and CBS.
Between 2011 and 2020, Parsons played in the NBA for the Houston Rockets, the Dallas Mavericks, the Memphis Grizzlies, and the Atlanta Hawks.
