via Formula1.comIt was confirmed back in March that Las Vegas will become one of three Formula 1 races in the United States for next season, joining the established Circuit of The Americas in Austin and the Miami International Autodrome.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, said in October: “The Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to be an incredible event and in just over 12 months the best drivers on the planet will be racing through the streets of the entertainment capital of the world."

“It’s going to be something no one will want to miss and the energy and enthusiasm for the race is already building. We know our passionate US fans and those from all over the world will want to be there to witness the thrill first hand and we can’t wait for November 18 2023.”

In anticipation of the event in 2023, hotel rates in Las Vegas have jumped.

According to 8NewsNow.com: “So far, the average room rate increase, year-over-year, is approximately 305%. However, the largest percentage increase is the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino which has raised its room rates for that weekend by 466% from $100/night in 2022 to $566/night in 2023. But the most expensive cheap room is now at Caesars Palace at $1,519/night. This, however, is also the smallest percent change at 106% higher than this year. The Venetian is the second most expensive cheap room at $1,499/night.”

There has been some football of recent F1 cars on the Las Vegas Strip and even a race car driving through one of the most popular casinos in town:
