Borgata In Atlantic City Announces $55M Hotel ProjectRenovation Comes With 20th Anniversary |

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced a $55 million redesign and rebranding of The Water Club. Renamed the MGM Tower, the new offerings will have more than 700 renovated rooms.
Coupled with the main tower, the property has roughly 2,800 rooms in total. The remodel for The Water Club was announced as part of the casino-hotel’s 20th anniversary.
“Introducing the MGM Tower connects Borgata with the unparalleled entertainment and resort experiences MGM Resorts is recognized for worldwide,” said Corey Sanders, Chief Operating Officer for MGM Resorts International. “We are incredibly proud of Borgata and its industry-leading team of employees, and we believe this significant reinvestment will drive visitation to Atlantic City well into the future.”
Newly remodeled rooms in the MGM Tower will be available beginning in April, with the project slated for completion by Memorial Day weekend. Borgata also is introducing a versatile 9,000-square-foot event space on the 32nd floor.
“As we approach the resort’s 20th anniversary, we are more committed than ever to remaining a leader in hospitality and entertainment by continuing to evolve the Borgata experience,” said Travis Lunn, the resort’s President & COO. “We look forward to sharing our new vision with Borgata’s incredible guests in the coming months.”
No renovation plans were announced for the casino.
The 160,000-square-foot casino floor hosts roughly 4,000 slot machines, 180 table games, and 50 poker tables. Borgata’s poker room features daily tournaments and high-stakes tournament series. For weekly events, buy-ins range from $30 to $1,000, but the hotel also hosts other major events throughout the year.
Borgata is also a popular online casino brand in the Garden State, where online casino games have been offered for nearly a decade. New Jersey is one of the top online casino markets in the country.
