BetOnline Poker is giving small-stakes players plenty of reasons to celebrate this summer with not only their own online tournament series, but also reduced rake in small-stakes cash games.

From June 25 until July 2, popular online poker room is running a micro stakes festival which guarantees a total of $450,000. On offer is a wide variety of no-limit hold’em events, including rebuys, and progressive knockouts.

The two crown jewels of the series are a $22 buy-in $50,000 guaranteed event on Sunday, July 2 at 1 pm ET, and a $109 buy-in $250,000 guaranteed main event also on Sunday, July 2, but at 1:30 pm ET.

Players who end up in the top 50 of the Micro Series Leaderboard will also receive a buy-in to the $250,000 guaranteed main event.

But tournament players aren’t the only ones who are benefitting from BetOnline’s commitment to the micros. This month, the site announced important changes to their rake structure at low- and medium-stakes cash tables.

Effective June 1, BetOnline has reduced their rake caps, meaning less rake will be taken from hands at $0.50-$1 or lower. The next time that players play one of these games, they will be paying less rake and keeping more of their hard-earned winnings.

Here is a summary of the changes:
● $0.05-$0.10: Max rake now capped at $1.50 (previously $3)
● $0.10-$0.25: Max rake now capped at $2.50 (previously $3)
● $0.25-$0.50: Max rake now capped at $3.50 (previously $4)
● $0.50-$1: Max rake now capped at $4 (previously $5)
