The Charity Series of Poker keeps things rolling in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of their busy 2024 schedule during prime World Series of Poker time back at one of their usual host spots at the Stirling Club on July 3. The “1st Annual Rhino Rumble Championship” will benefit the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation that is dedicated to the cause of saving black rhinos from extinction.

The silent auction begins at 5:30 pm. In addition to the auction, attendees will be treated to a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres. After that comes the main event of the night, the charity poker tournament. The turbo-structured event begins at 7:00 PM and features a top prize worth $5,000 and over $9,000 in donated prizes. The $300 buy-in event also includes unlimited $100 re-buys and add-ons (10,000 chips per re-buy, and 20,000 chips per add-on) until registration closes. There will be plenty of other final table and silent auction prizes up for grabs as well.

Anyone is welcome to attend the dinner and silent auction for $100 without participating in the tournament. Attire for all of the events is Safari Chic for this particular event.

Established in 2014, the Charity Series of Poker is a nonprofit company founded to organize and promote charity poker tournaments and other events that raise money and awareness for worthy charities and causes. Poker professional Matt Stout is the founder and president of the CSOP. This upcoming event will be the 67th stop for the series as it continues a strong lineup of events that has spanned many years.

Regarding this upcoming event, the CSOP website offered the following additional info:

“Nestled upon 2500 acres of unspoiled South African wilderness, our sanctuary is not only home to Munu, our critically endangered blind rhino, but it serves as the only dedicated black rhino sanctuary of its kind. As the poaching crisis intensifies, we’re expanding to an orphanage, rescue & rehabilitation center, & research hub for endangered wildlife. All proceeds from this event will go towards urgently upgrading the anti-poaching unit and ranger infrastructure on the property.” — Shannon Elizabeth, Founder
