Bodog recently announced its Billionth Hand Promotion, which includes plans to pay out prizes along the way to dealing the site's billionth hand, and on Sunday, the first landmark was hit.
At 4:30 ET, the 980,000,000th hand was dealt. Eight players who were competing in a $4,000-guaranteed tournament were awarded $109 in tournament credits and their fair share of $2,000.

There are still four more landmark hands to be hit. All players involved in these hands will get $109 in tournament credits and a share of a designated prize. This time, the prize was $2,000. At each landmark, the prize increases. The next prize of $3,000 will be split among the players who hit the 985,000,000th hand ($4,000 to the 990,000,000th hand, $5,000 to the 995,000,000 hand, and $10,000 to the 1,000,000,000th hand).
Bodog is also continuing to do 10 daily draws for $50 each every day until Nov. 26.
